Custom Builds

For the home that doesn’t exist yet, built from a blank page around you.

A home that's entirely yours

Custom Builds

A custom build is for the home no catalogue plan comes close to. Maybe your block has its own personality, or you simply want something that’s completely yours. This is where we start from a blank page and build around you.

Custom is where our hands-on experience really shows. After twenty-plus homes, we know how to take an unusual block or a big idea and turn it into something buildable, liveable, and genuinely one of a kind.

Why it works

Designed from scratch

We design the home around your life and your land, not by stretching a standard plan. Every room earns its place and every metre is there for a reason.

Hard blocks, solved

Slopes, narrow frontages, awkward orientations, or bushfire considerations become design opportunities rather than dealbreakers. Difficult blocks are where custom shines.

Ambition with a clear price

A from-scratch home has more moving parts, so we stay close to you through every decision and keep the budget visible the whole way. Big ideas and a clear price can live together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Builds FAQs

A few of the questions we hear most often. If yours isn’t here, just ask — we’d rather have the conversation than leave you guessing.
What's the difference between a custom build and modifying a plan?

Modifying a plan starts from an existing design. A custom build starts from nothing but your block, your brief, and a blank page. Custom gives total freedom, with a bit more design time to match.

Either works. We can design your home in-house, or build from plans by an architect or designer you’ve already engaged, as long as the documentation is sound.

We price it as the design develops, costing real choices rather than guessing. By the time you sign a build contract, you’ll have a detailed, fixed price built on your actual plans.

It’s one of the things we enjoy most. Sloping, narrow, or constrained blocks need a builder who designs and problem-solves, not one who only knows how to drop a standard home on flat land.

Custom design takes longer than picking a plan, often a few months, because we get every detail right before a brick is laid. That time is what makes the build itself run smoothly.

By pricing decisions as we go and being honest when an idea will push the number. You’ll always know the cost of a choice before you make it, so the budget stays in your hands.
