Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL FAQS
Where does Auric Homes build?
We build across Melbourne and surrounding parts of Victoria. If you’re not sure whether your block is in our area, just ask and we’ll let you know.
Are your prices fixed, or can they change during the build?
We work to a fixed-price contract, and we put real effort into accurate site costs upfront so there are no nasty mid-build surprises. If you choose to change something along the way, we price it clearly before any work happens.
What energy standard do your homes meet?
Every home is built to meet the energy efficiency requirements of the current National Construction Code as it applies in Victoria, and we can design beyond the minimum if you want. We’ll confirm the exact current standard for your build.
What warranty and insurance come with an Auric home?
Your home comes with a structural warranty, and domestic building work above the legislated value in Victoria is covered by domestic building insurance. We’ll walk you through exactly what’s covered and for how long.
How long does a typical home take to build?
Most standard homes run roughly ten to fourteen months from contract to handover, depending on the design, your block, and council timelines. Custom builds and knockdown rebuilds usually take a little longer, and we’ll give you a realistic schedule for yours.
Are you a licensed and insured builder?
Yes. We operate as a registered building practitioner and carry the required insurances, including domestic building insurance where it applies. You’re building with a properly credentialed, accountable builder.
